Shocking update on Cesaro’s future after recent WWE exit

Cesaro left WWE in February 2022, and less than four months later he could be ready to make a sensational comeback.

On February 24 of this year, it was reported that Cesaro had become a free agent after leaving WWE when his contract expired.

The two sides couldn’t agree on a new deal, meaning the United States champion was free to work for other companies.

However, it has now been 99 days since those reports were released, and Cesaro has been battling for another promotion ever since.

While Dave Meltzer says there is nothing definitive to report, he reports in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that there is “belief” that Cesaro will return to WWE.

The belief is that he is comfortable with WWE and would make a lot of money, so he is likely to return. There’s a feeling that a guy like Cesaro will come back because he’s comfortable with WWE.

Cesaro knows he’ll never be on top, as Meltzer notes, but that doesn’t seem like a big deal to him.

The situation appears to be similar to that of Johnny Gargano, who left WWE in December 2021, but rumors also suggest he could be making a comeback when he’s ready to return from wrestling.

Gargano, like Cesaro, also stepped away from wrestling to focus on his family after having a child, and you can read more about that here.

Johnny Gargano could soon return to WWE

It’s important to note that Meltzer does not report that Cesaro has re-signed with WWE and is 100% coming back. As with everything in wrestling, the situation could change a lot.

Speaking of Cesaro, the former WWE Superstar recently made it to the list of the 100 Greatest Wrestlers of All Time, which you can check out by clicking here.
