Olivia Jade and Jimmie Allen drop out of season 30 in Janet Jackson Night Double Elimination

The ABC competition series paid homage to the pop icon’s music for the first time as the eight remaining celebrities performed two routines during Monday’s episode.

Late in the evening, Olivia Jade Giannulli and Jimmie Allen left Season 30 in another double elimination. Melora Hardin, who also landed in the last three, was saved by the judges to dance again in next week’s semi-finals.

“I’m honestly shocked to have made it this far and it’s been such a trip, and I’m so grateful to have done the show,” Olivia Jade, 22, told reporters afterwards. “It’s just something I will remember for the rest of my life.”

“I really found a motivation and a work ethic that I think I have since I was young, but maybe I haven’t been able to perform in the last few years,” she added. “It’s really nice to see that back. And I think the hard work really pays off.”

The beauty influencer also shared how her parents, Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli, reacted to the news of her elimination.

“They are so proud of me for doing this show,” she explained. “And they were both like, ‘Hey, you did it. You did your best. We’re proud of you for putting yourself forward, and we love you.’ So they’re great. They’re obviously very supportive. “

Meanwhile, Allen, 36, confessed that he was planning to hang up his dancing shoes after being sent home!

“I’m done dancing,” the country singer candidly told reporters, adding, “I love being in the ballroom, but I’m just glad I didn’t have to dance anymore! Allen and pro Emma Slater started the night with a score of 32 of 40 for their cha cha at “Getaway”. Suni Lee and pro Sasha Farber received rave reviews from the judges for their samba at “All for You”, which scored a perfect 40 out of 40.

Hardin, 54, and pro Artem Chigvintsev also scored 40 of 40 for their paso doble at “If”. Olivia Jade and pro Val Chmerkovskiy scored 36 of 40 for their Argentine tango on “Any Time, Any Place”.

Cody Rigsby and pro Cheryl Burke scored 38 of 40 for their paso doble at “Black Cat”, winning their first 10s of the season. Amanda Kloots and pro Alan Bersten also got a perfect score of 40 out of 40 for their jazz on “Miss You Much”.

Iman Shumpert and pro Daniella Karagach scored 35 of 40 for their cha cha at “Rhythm Nation”, while JoJo Siwa and pro Jenna Johnson had an almost perfect score of 39 of 40 for their salsa at “Feedback”.

The contestants then faced off in a series of dance rounds for two bonus points from the judges.

First, Allen and Lee, 18, were judged by Bruno Tonioli as they both performed salsa from “Made for Now (Latin Version)”. The Olympic gymnast came out on top, bringing her total for the night to 42.

Next, 18-year-old Olivia Jade and Siwa were judged by Carrie Ann Inaba as they competed in rumba dancing on “That’s the Way Love Goes”. The Dance Moms alum picked up the bonus points to bring his total score to 41.

Hardin and Shumpert, 31, were judged by Derek Hough when they clashed with a foxtrot for “Encore”. The Office alum got the extra points for a final total of 42.

Kloots, 39, and Rigsby, 34, participated in the last dance judged by Len Goodman, with a cha cha at “Together Again”. The Speak cohost won the round bringing their total to 42.
