Jack Roles posted a heartfelt post on Instagram after his exit from Tottenham was confirmed on Thursday.
Spurs announced on their official site today the list of players leaving the North London club.
Roles, 22, is one of several players on the development team who were allowed to leave after their contracts were concluded.
Additionally, senior players Danny Rose and Paulo Gazzaniga are both gone.
Roles, who has been with Spurs’ academy in recent years, will now become a free agent after failing to secure a new Premier League deal.
The London-born central midfielder has spent time on loan over the past two years with Burton Albion, Cambridge United, as well as most recently Stevenage in the second half of this season. I hope he is now taken over by a football league club.
He sent a farewell message on social media:
Danny Rose the big Tottenham exit
It was no secret that Rose would be leaving this summer. However, it’s a shame his time with Spurs ended like this.
He’s been watching sideways for the entire 2020/21 season, but he’s someone who’s had some incredible moments in his 214 appearances for them.
It will be interesting to see where the England international, who has been selected 29 times, ends up. The 30-year-old will surely kick him out of a free transfer.
